The weekends is already ending, yet the world seemed to be more beautiful than ever.. I am in seventh heaven alright... I was watching the Malaysian Open 2010 for three straight days, and it is hard to believe that the finale has already come to an end.. Tragic. I want more.
But anyway, it is victory for Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong, and a record breaking haul for Datuk Lee Chong Wei!!! Fans of them were so not disappointed, not after the supreme racket display, the mega-skills, and everything in between.. Datuk Lee did show some signs of fatigue, but it was very well covered up, despite playing 3 scintillating sets against the Chinese opponents in the form of Chen Jin and Du Pengyu, but it was all in the matter of world class game. Congratulations to him for the record-breaking six Malaysian Open titles. I am indeed pleased with the crowd that turned up with those interesting banners... Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong were equally impressive, having justified their World. No1 ranking, and not to mention Koo Kien Keat proving his dominance from the front of the court, his superb net play was fabulous. Maybe Lee Yong Dae should get some tips from KKK if he wants to prove himself as the so-called best doubles player, after all, it is not all about the attacking shots, it is about being an all-rounded player, more in the form of Koo Kien Keat. Tan Boon Heong meanwhile has showcased some strong smashes from the back of the court, the perfect complement to his partner. Nevertheless, the Malaysian hotshots, prove that they are still the dynamic duo, the most exciting pair to watch in world stage, all thanks to their variety in their game and the way they toy with their opponents, wonderful defence, the possession of a different interesting game style, compared with the likes of Lee Yong Dae-Jung Jae Sung, Cai Yun-Fu Haifeng( another interesting pair with fun game strategy) and Markis Kido- Hendra Setiawan. Hopefully these four currently best pairs in the world would be able to continue challenging one pair to another in more tournaments to come.

The game starts
The Australian Open Tennis Grand Slam and Malaysian Open has kicked off this week and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the RESULTS.
The Defending Champion.
THE TOP 4 PLAYERS.
Unfortunately, Lin Dan has managed to elude the Malaysian Open through a last minute pull-out, AGAIN. Well, hoping to see him this May for the Thomas Cup...
As for now.....
Good Luck, Datuk Lee and Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong!!

Gila-Gila
We are currently having PMD(Program Maju Diri) and it has been hilarious these few days.
Day 1
Batman vs Spiderman
Both Batman and Spidey (as in me and Rachel) got called up front, thrice. I don't really know what kind of luck they(we) are actually running on, but we were caught under attention all three time./
And not mention the debate: BATMAN VS SPIDEY.
(Ray Ray)
(Me)
Miss Spidey believes that spidey is way better than Batman due to supernatural powers and for the fact that spidey is younger than Batman..
Yeah, right.
His superpowers just fell out of the sky and that's nothing special, compared to what Bruce Wayne did. Yes, Rachel, it is BRUCE WAYNE. Get your ears checked, for god sake... Despite being a billionaire, he isn't any bit selfish. Saving the people of Gotham City from corruption, that's huge. Way better than, Spidey. Not to mention more macho. He can still fly, rather than web-slinging...=p
Our first PMD slot was about introducing ourselves. Most of us came up with proper ambitions, ordinary more likely. But Spiderman decide to become a bit more creative.
Hobby: Sleeping on soft surfaces.
Ambition: (not sure a billionaire or brilliant-naire) but either way, it is just one of Ray's big dreams.
Idol: Albert Einstein( who according to her, became her idol in a day, but do not want to be anything like him) Seriously Ray, maybe you can opt for his hairstyle, you may just become the next fashion icon. The next billionaire. Easy-peasy.
Meanwhile I told the more REALISTIC self-information.Say....
Hobby: reading storybook and watch sports.
Ambition: Meeting Lewis Hamilton
Idol: Lewis Hamilton, Rafael Nadal, Christian Bale, KKK, Datuk Lee, Fernando Verdasco, Fernando Torres and etc....
See the whole difference between Batman and Spiderman?? Okay, I'll let you to decide...(although it's obvious..)
That's it for Day 1... Day 2... coming soon. Hint: Advice of the day was: To score in SPM.... YOU HAVE TO BE GILA-GILA. (not just gila, as in gila squared)

Euphoria

Allow me to release the bad energy in me, JUST BECAUSE THIS MAN DID NOT MAKE IT TO THE FINALS OF THE FINALS...
Now, for the good news....
She is totally awesome... MY PREDICTION FOR THE FINALS CAME TRUE!!
No surprise this man won.. But I might just as well remind the fact that LAST YEAR, he lost. In the Finals. To KKK-TBH... Which was a way sensational match than this year!
I was so hoping he would make it to the finals... He looks INCREDIBLE in his new hair style...
And for the best part.... I'm so not surprise DATUK LEE CHONG WEI won.. I'm just surprised by the Datuk who turned up in Stadium Bandaraya for the finals.. Because his expression and part of his game was SO not Chong Wei-ish..
Again I was so hoping he would make it to the finals..
BUT THEN AGAIN...
SPAIN WON 5-0 IN DAVIS CUP 2009!!! WITH THE HELP OF THE KING-OF-CLAY, obviously..
Can't help pointing out the ones that stand out in the lot... ( Third from left and first right...)
And he's back!!

And the scene of Euphoria....

Immortalizing the Moments in Terengganu...

1st Dae-17th Nov
We had a tiring bus-ride to Terengganu from Klang.(9 hours, I tell u...) Rather than sleeping as most of my friends had done, I was squeezing my brains TRYING to study... Upon reaching at PRIMULA BEACH HOTEL, we checked into the lovely hotel rooms, cleaned-up, and then... DINNER. Later on, they gave some briefing to the quiz participants, and me, Anis, Afiqah, Chia and Adibah 'serbu-masuk' Anis-and-Afiqah's room, having some discussion...
2nd Dae-18th Nov
This is it. THE DAY. My nerves were already wearing thin, and the awkward breakfast moment we had(Not that I ate anything, all I felt was to puke) did not help much. Guess what, Selangor team manage to pull themselves into the spotlight by being the ONLY team to be dressed in traditional clothes!! I was a complete nervous wreck, and my senses did not work well that morning.. There were 4 quarter-finals, and Selangor was drawn into the second Q-finals alongside neighbous N'Sembilan and Kuala Lumpur plus Penang.. I was practically shaking onstage that I barely noticed who our Quizmasters were. One of them was actually Awal Ashaari, host of ONE-IN-A-MILLION tv show! Fortunately, Selangor team weren't bad, we made it as the 5th team to qualify in the semis. But semis were BAD. THis time we were drawn together with super-good teams like SARAWAK, JOHOR and host, Terengganu.. All hopes seemed lost when we were trailing way behind, but than we managed to pull through after answering some question in the Buzzer round. After the second-last question, we were tied with Johor. And then came the last question....Ironically, it was about Selangor!! It was something like this..."Di negeri manakah aktiviti Jugra Paragliding diadakan??" And guess what? I just saw the banner of this particular activity 2 days before!! I almost laughed out loud at the irony when I pressed the buzzer to answer that question"Selangor...".. And then, WE MADE IT TO THE FINALS!!! We qualified as the 4th and last team, but we couldn't have been more relieved! During the finals, I was super-relaxed.. I had no idea why, but it simply just did not cross my mind that we would be getting down the stage as CHAMPIONS. I had expected the Sarawakians to dominate as usual, and the Perlis members to give perfect answers, BUT I WAS WRONG. The questions ask we the exact questions that we were discussing just a couple of minute ago before the finals... Eventhough we knew we have won, we remain calm, cool, and collected, while our dear supporters were going craaaaaazy down there!! Hey, MGS-IANS down there, we LOVE you!!! The sound of the tambourine and pom-poms plus their crazy screams felt oddly comforting while we were onstage..Then, night we had dinner in whta seemed like a ballroom, for the Majils Perasmian Karnival Program Pelancongan Pelajar 2009... I was impressed with the arrangements and everything, but it was simply too bad I did not get to enjoy everything, I was DEAD tired! Nubhan did a good show, though...The next thing I knew, I was under coma condition...
3rd Dae-19th Nov
Explorace. I was bored to death, and so was Fiqah. The both of us were in the same group, and we were practically in our own worlds, whereas my dear teammates we pushing with determination..Sorry guys.;.. yet, unbelievably, we won second place in overall category!
N then there was the Tarian Cuti-Cuti 1Malaysia Competition..My DEAR FRIENDS were practising really hard for it, especially Chia, Thilagah, Ai Lin and I do feel sorry for Elaine..
While I was excused the wrath of performing in onstage with the excuse of a really painful left arm..(Hey, the pain was really terrible...) Meanwhile dear Anis and Ama enjoyed themselves in pretending to be Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul, mocking the dance steps... MGS did the Indian dance, and they came out fourth which I think is not a bad result, considering they did not wear any costume... First place went to Perak, and they were just AWESOME.. they performed a flawless dance what more with cool traditional costumes. Congratulations to them! That very night, En Isa brought us out for supper, and it seemed most Mgs-ians did have a good night..
4th Dae-20th Nov
I simply did not enjoy this day. I felt so miserable, what more being hurt by my own friend. I was practically counting the hours to leave Terengganu! The sightseeing they manage to bring us around was not bad, though I wish there were more.. Taman Tamadun Islam was an awesome place, and I was impressed with the Masjid Kristal! It looked so cool!!
That night, we were brought to Ri-Yaz Marina Resort & Spa for the Majlis Penutupan.. The settings were fantastic, but what was even fantastic was the mock-cheque we received! For a moment there, I felt like a Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong or even Datuk Lee.. Wait, how about Rafael Nadal or Lewis Hamilton??? haha.. It was AMAZING! They also had variety of food stalls, but too bad, I wasn't in a condition to enjoy any of them..*sigh*.We were also serenaded by various artistes, say.. DAFI!!!!!!!!
5th Dae-21st Nov
The dae which I totally skipped my breakfast and lunch. I couldn't eat!! I was still extremely miserable, that I completely lost my appetite.. We checked-out of the hotel at 9, and so did the rest of the state contingents and the bus driver was kind enough to drop us briefly at Pasar Payang(after much persuasion...) before heading home!! We managed to reach school at 7-something, and finally, the more familiar surroundings of my beloved room...
Even though I had a horrid time the last 2 days, this was an amazing experience.. I'll definitely missed the Karnival 3P, we just learnt so much of things and discover even more.. We also met some nice people from various states which was pretty cool.. too bad we are Form Five next year..I'm sure I'll so not forget those awesome moments, and so will the rest of my friends!!
