1st Dae-17th Nov
We had a tiring bus-ride to Terengganu from Klang.(9 hours, I tell u...) Rather than sleeping as most of my friends had done, I was squeezing my brains TRYING to study... Upon reaching at PRIMULA BEACH HOTEL, we checked into the lovely hotel rooms, cleaned-up, and then... DINNER. Later on, they gave some briefing to the quiz participants, and me, Anis, Afiqah, Chia and Adibah 'serbu-masuk' Anis-and-Afiqah's room, having some discussion...
2nd Dae-18th Nov
This is it. THE DAY. My nerves were already wearing thin, and the awkward breakfast moment we had(Not that I ate anything, all I felt was to puke) did not help much. Guess what, Selangor team manage to pull themselves into the spotlight by being the ONLY team to be dressed in traditional clothes!! I was a complete nervous wreck, and my senses did not work well that morning.. There were 4 quarter-finals, and Selangor was drawn into the second Q-finals alongside neighbous N'Sembilan and Kuala Lumpur plus Penang.. I was practically shaking onstage that I barely noticed who our Quizmasters were. One of them was actually Awal Ashaari, host of ONE-IN-A-MILLION tv show! Fortunately, Selangor team weren't bad, we made it as the 5th team to qualify in the semis. But semis were BAD. THis time we were drawn together with super-good teams like SARAWAK, JOHOR and host, Terengganu.. All hopes seemed lost when we were trailing way behind, but than we managed to pull through after answering some question in the Buzzer round. After the second-last question, we were tied with Johor. And then came the last question....Ironically, it was about Selangor!! It was something like this..."Di negeri manakah aktiviti Jugra Paragliding diadakan??" And guess what? I just saw the banner of this particular activity 2 days before!! I almost laughed out loud at the irony when I pressed the buzzer to answer that question"Selangor...".. And then, WE MADE IT TO THE FINALS!!! We qualified as the 4th and last team, but we couldn't have been more relieved! During the finals, I was super-relaxed.. I had no idea why, but it simply just did not cross my mind that we would be getting down the stage as CHAMPIONS. I had expected the Sarawakians to dominate as usual, and the Perlis members to give perfect answers, BUT I WAS WRONG. The questions ask we the exact questions that we were discussing just a couple of minute ago before the finals... Eventhough we knew we have won, we remain calm, cool, and collected, while our dear supporters were going craaaaaazy down there!! Hey, MGS-IANS down there, we LOVE you!!! The sound of the tambourine and pom-poms plus their crazy screams felt oddly comforting while we were onstage..Then, night we had dinner in whta seemed like a ballroom, for the Majils Perasmian Karnival Program Pelancongan Pelajar 2009... I was impressed with the arrangements and everything, but it was simply too bad I did not get to enjoy everything, I was DEAD tired! Nubhan did a good show, though...The next thing I knew, I was under coma condition...
3rd Dae-19th Nov
Explorace. I was bored to death, and so was Fiqah. The both of us were in the same group, and we were practically in our own worlds, whereas my dear teammates we pushing with determination..Sorry guys.;.. yet, unbelievably, we won second place in overall category!
N then there was the Tarian Cuti-Cuti 1Malaysia Competition..My DEAR FRIENDS were practising really hard for it, especially Chia, Thilagah, Ai Lin and I do feel sorry for Elaine..
While I was excused the wrath of performing in onstage with the excuse of a really painful left arm..(Hey, the pain was really terrible...) Meanwhile dear Anis and Ama enjoyed themselves in pretending to be Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul, mocking the dance steps... MGS did the Indian dance, and they came out fourth which I think is not a bad result, considering they did not wear any costume... First place went to Perak, and they were just AWESOME.. they performed a flawless dance what more with cool traditional costumes. Congratulations to them! That very night, En Isa brought us out for supper, and it seemed most Mgs-ians did have a good night..
4th Dae-20th Nov
I simply did not enjoy this day. I felt so miserable, what more being hurt by my own friend. I was practically counting the hours to leave Terengganu! The sightseeing they manage to bring us around was not bad, though I wish there were more.. Taman Tamadun Islam was an awesome place, and I was impressed with the Masjid Kristal! It looked so cool!!
That night, we were brought to Ri-Yaz Marina Resort & Spa for the Majlis Penutupan.. The settings were fantastic, but what was even fantastic was the mock-cheque we received! For a moment there, I felt like a Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong or even Datuk Lee.. Wait, how about Rafael Nadal or Lewis Hamilton??? haha.. It was AMAZING! They also had variety of food stalls, but too bad, I wasn't in a condition to enjoy any of them..*sigh*.We were also serenaded by various artistes, say.. DAFI!!!!!!!!
5th Dae-21st Nov
The dae which I totally skipped my breakfast and lunch. I couldn't eat!! I was still extremely miserable, that I completely lost my appetite.. We checked-out of the hotel at 9, and so did the rest of the state contingents and the bus driver was kind enough to drop us briefly at Pasar Payang(after much persuasion...) before heading home!! We managed to reach school at 7-something, and finally, the more familiar surroundings of my beloved room...
Even though I had a horrid time the last 2 days, this was an amazing experience.. I'll definitely missed the Karnival 3P, we just learnt so much of things and discover even more.. We also met some nice people from various states which was pretty cool.. too bad we are Form Five next year..I'm sure I'll so not forget those awesome moments, and so will the rest of my friends!!

Success
I've gotta admit, that day was simply magical.....
18th Nov 2009, Wednesday, was the day where we, Mgs-ians were on the high lane...
Oh yeah, we won!!!
MGS Klang had emerged as the champion of the Kuiz Pelancongan Pelajar of the year 2009, giving MGS and Selangor it's first victory ever.. It was an amazing feeling to top the eventful year with the best EVER success story... RM5000!!! As I have clearly indicated in my previous post, I had thought that to win in National stage would be like to bring down a mountain single-handedly, as in...IMPOSSIBLE...
But nevertheless, we still worked hard as a team, and our perseverance paid off, I can only look back and say, 'Oh, wow...We ARE the champs..' Our efforts were humongous, we knew we don't have anything to lose but to be prepared thoroughly would of course banish all insecurities..
Hell, there the day before the competition was totally hectic.. We, as in me, Afiqah, and Anis had studied all our way during the bus ride to terengganu, had a diccussion till 2 in the morning... so don't think we deserve it?? During the quarter'finals, I was a nervous wreck.. I just can't seem to get things out of my head..yet, we made it to the semis.. In semis, I adapted a more relaxed emotion, and guess it worked, even though we came from behind to seal the last spot in the finals!Shockingly, finals totally went our way.. Even the Sarawakians whom I have to admit were AMAZING the first 2 rounds, seemed to have lost their golden touch... We manage to nail the questions about tourism administration and license activity, and... We clinched the title!!(haha, I'm starting to sound as if I won a sport tourney..) It was a exhausting day, but it was also exhilarating.. and a HUGE THANK YOU to our dear supporters, YOU GUYS ROCK!!
to think they actually made effort to bring along a tambourine and pom-poms, gosh, they were just really awesome! Even the head-juri tagged them as the MOST-SPORTING SUPPORTERS, and they totally deserve it! I love you guys, and thanks a lot!! To name a few, there were Chia(even though u were a participant, I wouldn't forget you), Tilagah, our beloved Dalila, Seyra, Azyda, Azizah, Shazwanee, Ai Lin and not forgetting our wonderful teachers, Puan Masz and the sporting Miss Faridah! Also we want to send our outmost gratitude to Encik Isa, Kak Fatihah and Kak Yati! Thank you!

Immortals vs Twilight

Seems like there is one book can make all the difference in this Twilight-craze world...
Here's the comments from a blog dedicated solely to Edward Cullen(seriously, what do they see in him??)...
Damen Auguste, the new Edward?

if these books[Evermore & Blue Moon] become a TV series, I think Sean Faris should play Damen... I don't know, I think he's got the looks & whatnot(:

i read evermore and blue moon, and it is so much better than the twilight series. it has alot more .. action, or more of a plot than some silly girl running after this one guy.

I prefer Damen over Edward
(coming from a big Twilight fan)
I dont know what it is, but Damen seems to be so much more intimate and he not only wants to please Ever but hes also in it for himself too. So I like that about him :)
And Ever is more like me, so I prefer her over Bella. So I like this series more.
But yea, Damen could'nt be the new Edward cause there just different. :) - Anonymous 007 said...

I love damen.

For me Edward is still my only love! (why is he not real?) but Damen is totally awesome and they are similar in ways what with the driving fast and ditching school! But is more sweeter and he is always there to protect Bella whether she loves him or not. And Edward was not Selfish enough to make Bella a vampire, though I totally understand Damen's feelings and don't hold it against him. I just wish Edward would give me a red tulip!!(which Damen does...)
just so you know, I'm a member of team Damen AND team Jacob... =) Anyone's with me???
(Though I just might have prompted a war with team Edward...) Seriously, The Immortals Series seemed to be playing on a better plot than Twilight...(but I don't exactly gurantee my words...One man's meat is another man's poison after all):D

Case File

Finally, it has happened...
Roger Federer, a.k.a World Num. 1 Tennis Player( I doubt it, though), has finally succumbed to defeat in the 2nd round of the Paris Masters , probably for the first time in the major tournaments that he has competed this year.
This is clearly the Swiss Masters worst defeat, especially in the hands of the unheralded Frenchman Julien Benneteau. I'm happy for you, Roger... (plus all Rogerfans, including Ern of course)
Meanwhile its all cheers when Rafael Nadal fought back to move into the next round, and double delight from Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong, Datuk but not Fairuz and Zakry (what were they thinking of when leaving to Hong Kong,.... sightseeing??)..
Plus it is officially school off today for the Fantastic Four: (who else if not me, Sarcastic Ern, Miss Mai and Senior Taugelek)..Yeah, right... As if I can stand watch Ern falling asleep while 'trying' to read a book or Mai planning out her schedule for the afternoon and Waniey getting jealous of Damen??
Ern's Random Theory of the Day: Those who commit suicide are definitely those who are 'tak tentu hala'..

Excited but Petrified
The Bad News:
It starts at 17th of November, and ends at 21st November...
But why???
I'm clearly freaking out now!! Kuiz Pelancongan peringkat Kebangsaan is just a few days away, and I'm not even prepared!! Hell, the things we have got to memorize..
And Ern won't be following! It's almost criminal!!!
Plus, we are totally burdened by sky-high expectation, that is to win! Not 2nd, or even 3rd...
Rm 5000 sure is is tempting, no joke, but seriously??
The Better News:
At least the thought that Miss-Perasan-Case and Ai lin plus my own teammates will be tagging along is comforting..
The Good News:
Holidays! Australia... here I come!!
Badminton Super Series! Hong Kong Open and China Open...
C'mon Malaysians! Malaysia Boleh!...(or so I keep saying..)
